Brass Buff Antiques Print Ad for A-Frame Sign
One side of an A-Frame we made for Brass Buff Antiques in Newton Upper Falls.
Symphony Mart
Storefront ad for Symphony Mart on Boylston St. This was a convenience store above my apartment that I frequented, it had snacks from all over the world... hence the ad^
1st ad I ever made
This was for a watch store right next to my school, Suffolk University, the owner fixed my watch before and i'd see the storefront everyday while walking to school. Eventually I thought about starting an advertising agency and I knew that would be the perfect place to start. It gave me credibility and visibility in Downtown Boston as an 18 year old freshman in college. Having my ad hanging on a busy street with my company name that I just made up right at the bottom made it easier to approach future clients.
We started in 2019, I was a freshman in college and wanted to get into advertising. I only learned later it was just a part of a bigger concept called marketing. I just wanted to make print ads, design them and print them for them to be visible to all pedestrians. My first client was Boston Jewels on State St, in Downtown Boston. I did it for free, but I got to put our company name "oakland trust" at the bottom. It was a great promo for us as well as them and gave me the credibility to get my next clients: Moss Pure, Golden Maison, Sandwich Works in Newton MA, Symphony Mart in Boston, and Brass Buff Antiques in Newton, MA. The name was just ubiquitous and sounded like it could be new but also could have been around for a while, and I think at some moments it helped.
